Condoleezza Rice lands modeling gig and becomes a member at Augusta
Who would have thought that involvement in politics could get someone into the modeling world? According to this Global Post article, former US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will soon be a part of the NFL’s newest ad campaign, “It’s My Team.” Rice is working with Melania Trump, DJ Kiss and Serena Williams to promote the NFL’s new women’s clothing line. The line will be launched at New York Fashion Week in September.
In addition, USA Today reported today that Condoleezza Rice and business executive Darla Moore will be the first female members Augusta National Golf Club, “one of the most exclusive clubs in the world and the host of the Masters.” It has taken three quarters of a century for Augusta National to reach this point and we applaud their decision.

Here’s what she had to say about her accomplishments as a model, “It’s always exciting to get covers. I’ve been on quite a few previously with commercial and glamour work, but this is actually my first cover with an art nude image, which I’m especially happy about as it’s one of my favorite genres.”
Olympic champions cashing-in as models
Legendary American Olympic swimmer, Michael Phelps, has officially retired from swimming to pursue modeling. According to this City News Toronto article, the famous swimmer will appear in an advertising campaign for Louis Vuitton (pictured here). Larysa Latynina—a former Olympic gymnast who won 14 medals, including 9 golds—will also appear in the same campaign.

The name of her new children’s clothing line is Truly Scrumptious, and it will be officially launched in mid-September. Heidi says that she enjoys the creative process that fashion design enables her to experience.
