Mosh stars in Pink’s new music video

Model Mosh is on fire. She is no stranger to being published and scoring fantastic modeling gigs. This time, she landed a leading role in Pink’s latest music video for her new single “Blow Me (One Last Kiss).” Here is what Mosh had to say about her recent accomplishment, “It was a privilege working with Pink, she’s such a talented and respected artist.” We wish Mosh continued success in the industry! You can read more about Mosh in the Model  interview.

Karolina Kurkova to join Campbell and Rocha on “The Face”
The Vancouver Sun reported that Karolina Kurkova will be a mentor on “The Face,” a new TV show about modeling. The show will revolve around aspiring models competing for a grand prize at the end, while under the guidance of the aforementioned supermodels. Kurkova wants to help newer models navigate the industry, because she understands that modeling is not as easy as it looks. She has a background in gymnastics, which taught her the importance of having a great work ethic that can be applicable to just about any career. Kurkova stated that she, just like Rocha and Campbell, wants to share what she has learned with the next generation of models. Kurkova knows how to reach success, and she has a lot to offer to the aspiring models that will be on the show. We wish her all the best!

Alice Lopez featured in Her Life Magazine

Photographer: Christine Rose Photography; Model: Alice Lopez

Congratulations to Model Alice Lopez on her recent feature in Her Life Magazine. Alice is a very experienced, agency-represented model who has been in the industry for seven years. When we asked Alice how she felt about being published, she replied: “This is the second time I’ve been in this magazine and am very happy to have worked with the same great team again. The photographer, Christine, is a great friend of mine and I always have a great time working with her. Tearsheets are important for a model’s book so I’m always very thankful for getting published.” We also asked her for a few words of advice to models who would like to get published. Alice stated, “The best advice for models to get published are two things: First, work on building a good book, because that is your resume. Second, be very professional and polite, this is so important! I cannot stress this enough. If a photographer, stylist or agent likes you, they will give you top priority. Try to avoid burning bridges in the industry. It doesn’t matter what you look like, don’t be a Diva!”

Ana Braga continues to score features

Model: Ana K Braga

Model Ana Braga is not slowing down. Ana’s ad for Combatives Gear has come out in Tap Out Magazine. The Combatives Gear ad will also run in Ultimate MMA (October issue) and Muscles Port magazine. In addition to being featured in September’s issue of Southern Vixens Magazine, she will also have her own column in it. It is going to be about modeling tips, fitness and nutrition. Her first piece comes out in the August issue.

Dawn Obrien taking strides as a fitness model

Model: Dawn O’Brien

Congratulations to Model Dawn O’Brien for her continuous success as a fitness model. She has been on the cover of FemmeXposure Magazine twice, in addition to being featured as a fitness model on Shapefit.com and in Natural Muscle Magazine. Dawn has also been featured on numerous health and fitness sites. Her story is remarkable, because back in 2000, she was in a very dangerous car crash and almost died. After the accident, she had to have complex brain surgery. The doctors told her husband that there is a high chance that if she lives she will not remember anything. Miraculously, she survived, suffered no memory loss at all and is now thriving as a fitness model/writer. Here is what Dawn had to say about modeling, “Modeling is a very competitive industry and it’s important to realize thousands of girls want to become models. Don’t become discouraged and give up on your dream.”

Age: Is it really just a number?
Just ask 82-year-old model Jacquie ‘Tajah’ Murdock, who, according to this Daily Mail article, just recently scored her first major ad campaign. The creative director of Lanvin, a French fashion label, chose Murdock to rock the company’s fall advertising campaign, stating that he wanted real people to represent the brand this season. Jacquie has been trying to become a well-known model for a very long time without much success in the past. Only now is she actually generating buzz about her modeling career. Many times, girls are told that they are too old for fashion at 22, but it appears like the industry is making somewhat of a turnaround, although younger models still dominate it. Murdock is another exception to the rule. She credits her hard work, persistence and dedication as the reasons why she made it into the limelight. If you work hard enough, you too can get there!
